African fish-eagles are familiar sighting in this area. Noted for their distinctive and haunting call. Eagles by habit perch on tree branches overlooking the water. Once spotting fish, they swoop down to catch them with their pours and then carried back to the perch. African fish eagles also eat birds, monkeys, and even crocodile hatchlings. These efficient predators can get away with spending as little as 10 minutes a day hunting.

Animal species in Sabiepark are; Kudu, Giraffe, Wildebeest, Bushbuck, Duiker, Impala, Warthogs and Zebra. Plus many other small antelope species native to Africa. Sabiepark for safty reasons is fenced in by an electrified fence. Due to this safety measure, carnivore’s such as Lion, Leopard, are prevented from entering. They and rarely to seen. Visitors are not discouraged from walking around Sabiepark. They should yet be aware, of the dangers that might exist.
